Executive management

Vasyl Nair is the CEO of Mine Super, a $14b profit to members superannuation fund. Vasyl has a background in law and strategy, having held senior roles at some of Australia’s largest financial services institutions. Vasyl holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hon), Bachelor of Commerce, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and an Executive Master of Business Administration. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW, is a Graduate of the AICD and has a Certificate of Business Excellence from the Haas School of Business, U.C. Berkeley. Vasyl has also served as a director of an Australian fintech organisation, specialising in superannuation and investment administration. Mr Nair has previously held the roles of Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Deputy CEO at Mine Super.

She has held a number of executive positions covering fund operations, administration management, business development and governance, including risk management and compliance and secretariat management.

Mrs Killen holds a Master of Organisational Leadership through the University of Melbourne (Melbourne Business School). She holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance through the Governance Institute of Australia and also has qualifications in superannuation management and customer service and management. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow of ASFA. She has also served as a director on a superannuation board and on an Australian fintech organisation specialising in superannuation and investment administration.

Prior to joining Mine Super, he has worked extensively with leading superannuation, investment manager, public pension and sovereign wealth funds on the design and implementation of various investment, private market, data and reporting platform solutions at J.P. Morgan. His prior experience includes managing technology and operations at Computershare, a global registry services solution provider.

Mr Leung holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of NSW, Master of Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a Master of Business Law from the University of Sydney. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and RG146 qualified.

He has held executive and management roles delivering human resources, training and business improvement functions for organisations such as WesTrac, John Holland and Boeing Australia.

Mr Maher holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Newcastle with a focus on Human Resources and Industrial Relations and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Bond University.

He has a demonstrated track record in corporate strategy, marketing, data and analytics.

Mr Reis-Freeman holds a Master of Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and Bachelor of Information Systems from Macquarie University.

Mr Rowbottom holds a Master of Organisational Leadership from the University of Melbourne (Melbourne Business School), a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Superannuation), a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University, is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) and a Fellow of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA). He is also a director of Recreo Financial Pty Ltd, an Australian fintech organisation specialising in superannuation and investment administration.

Employed in the current role since September 2014.

He has a strong background in operational risk management and compliance, with senior roles in corporate banking institutions including Westpac and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. 

Mr Theng holds a Master of Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Bachelor of Policing and Graduate Certificate in Fraud Investigation.
